Admission Process
Veritas Christian Academy welcomes visitors who are interested in learning more about the school. Please call the office at (408) 984-1255 to schedule an appointment.

Once an application is complete, school administration will contact the family to discuss the schedule for admissions testing and set up an interview. Before coming to the interview, the student and the parents are expected to have read the Veritas Christian Academy Parent-Student Handbook. Upon acceptance of a student into Veritas Christian Academy, the student's parents may request a tuition aid application. At the time a student is accepted by the school, a nonrefundable registration fee of $500 will reserve a space for the student. New student applicatons must be received with application fee by Friday, January 16, 2009, to qualify for the Priority Registration Fee of $400, which is due Feb. 28, upon acceptance by VCA. Families in which more than one student is accepted into VCA may reserve space for all students by paying $500 at the time of signing the contract, with the remainder of the registration fee due June 1.

Early applications will receive preference for need-based tuition aid.

The administration reserves the right to exclude any student whose admission would not serve the best interests of the student or the school. Veritas Christian Academy does not refuse admission of students on the basis of race, color, sex, or national or ethnic origin.

Admission Testing
Students will be assessed in both mathematics and English composition, in order to determine their placement in courses at Veritas Christian Academy. The testing will take approximately one hour to complete (less time required in lower grades), and the testing fee is included in the application fee. The school will provide all of the materials needed for the testing, including the pencils. The use of calculators and cell phones will not be permitted during the testing.

Private Satellite Program
Home school families may affiliate with Veritas Christian Academy via our Private Satellite Program. PSP services (formerly known as ISP) include record-keeping, student ID, yearbook photo, occasional seminars, and discounts on classes at Veritas Christian Academy. Curriculum guidelines are available upon request. Families with students in grades K-12 are eligible to apply for 2009-10. For a high school diploma through the PSP, testing is required for an additional fee. PSP application fee is $25.
