• Open House for prospective families on November 14 was our largest Open House event yet.
• Tuition Assistance Benefit Dinner on October 29 gave guests the opportunity to hear "An Introduction to Classical Christian Education" by Dr. Roy Atwood, president of New Saint Andrews College, a classical Christian liberal arts college. • Back to School Night barbecue was September 15.
• Study skills was the topic of a pair of special Saturday seminars for new and returning VCA students.
• First day of school in 2005 was September 6.
• New campus for Silicon Valley's classical Christian school — click here for details.
NEWS FROM 2004-05:
• VCA's last day of school was June 16, and we celebrated with an End of Year Barbecue.
• The first VCA yearbook was distributed June 13. Five students spent a day a week during spring semester designing the yearbook under the supervision of Mrs. Burns.
• The first standardized test scores at VCA, distributed to students and parents in May, suggested that six months of studying Logic and Latin had not been in vain: While students' median test scores were above the 75th percentile nationally in every subject tested, their median scores in Verbal Reasoning and Vocabulary were in the 92nd percentile—which translates among students in elite private schools to the 58th and 61st percentiles respectively! Congratulations to students and teachers!

• Back to School Night barbecue was September 16, first Open House for prospective families was November 15, and first Christmas Party was December 16. Second Open House was January 13 and first Teacher Appreciation Barbecue was May 20.
